HIGHLANDS COUNTY NOW HAS THREE PET FRIENDLY SHELTERS

Highlands County will open three pet shelters this year any time our county is threatened by wind event.  These are the Avon Park Youth Camp, Dog Designs by Dana in Sebring, and The Dawg House in Lake Placid.  The Avon Park Youth Camp allows pet owners and their families to stay with their pets at the shelter.  Dog Designs by Dana and the Dawg House are pet shelters only, where you drop your pet off and then go to a general shelter.  After the event you then go back and pick up your pet.  There is no charge for either of these shelter services.  Both of these shelters have rules and regulations that you need to follow.  To review these rules and regulations, follow the link to Avon Park Holiness Camp , Dog Designs by Dana pet shelter , or The Dawg House pet shelter .
